Freelance Public Relations Consultant – Irwin Mitchell
Jennifer worked to improve media coverage at Irwin Mitchell, an innovative and vocal law firm with offices across the UK and in Spain. She worked with well known legal personalities and successfully placed articles in national publications such as the Evening Standard and the Guardian and on the BBC website. In addition to writing press releases and liasing with journalists, she analysed news coverage, responded to breaking news (such as the New York helicopter crash) and out-of-hours enquiries, worked closely with PR agency staff, provided in-house media training and updated the IMNewsroom website and Twitter feed.
Journalist and Publicist – MoneyMagpie.com
Three days a week, Jennifer would head down to the West London offices of MoneyMagpie.com. Here she worked with television personality Jasmine Birtles; creating press releases, researching articles for national publications, fighting for consumer rights, writing web articles and improving her SEO skills. She also acted as Jasmine’s personal assistant, booking television appearances and speaking events, and helping to write scripts. Organising an event for 250 people at the London Skybar was a highlight.
